Capacity

The capacity of a forklift is the legal maximum weight that can be lifted. This weight is dependent on other factors, such as the Load Centre.

Typically the capacity is measured in Tons (1 Ton = 1000 Kilograms), although smaller forklifts and order pickers sometimes have capacities in the hundreds of kilograms. It is important to note that the capacity information available may be listed in either metric or imperial units. Nearly all forklifts available for sale in Australia will list metric units.

When determining your capacity requirements, it is important to consider the variation in the weight and size of lifting needs. To help with this decision, contact the trained staff at Eureka Forklifts today.
